Diet Day One

Imagine the anticipation, having fallen asleep clutching, Rosemary Conley Weight Loss Plan, whilst awaiting the return of my other half from badminton, I awake to the first day of my 1200 calorie-controlled diet…..mmm….coupled with the damp fog outside…not a great kick start to the day. After a quick perusal of the Motivational Thought for the Day (quick precis; love your quirky bits).

Actually better than toast....

Jensen lent his support by eating the remnants of my Christmas chocolates as I cooked the Rosemary Conley breakfast diet Day 1 (see right). This was actually a hit. Yummy and being dry-fried had three great advantages.

1. I was able to use up one of the short dated eggs at the back of the fridge thereby mitigating Ian’s wrath when he next does his eco-warrior waste audit thing.

2. As the cooker is ancient and the grill lighter doesn’t work, I was still able to have a “fry-up” using a technique adopted from my short-lived days in the Girl Guides. Tin foil in a wok. It works.

3. Zero fat added. Therefore it must be very good for me (see RC).

Actually, there’s a fourth. Virtually no washing up. It has to be a winner.

The Diet Log

Breakfast Dry-fried bacon rashers (two) mushrooms (five) tomatoes (three cherry) egg (free range, small), cup of Early Grey tea.

Activity Half hour walk around Amersham Hill and Graveyard in wet fog.

Lunch Soup and dry toast (whoops exceeded calories by 80 calories. Is it possible to have lunch of 130 calories?)

Afternoon snack one WeightWatchers chocolate brownie (Jensen made me eat it).

Dinner miniscule amont of chicken, rice (probably more than my portion) leeks and carrots.
