I dragged us (protesting at first) off to the Shaw Forest (a recycled former land-fill site as far as I can tell). Apart from the intermittent dog mess (obviously spreading out from Purton), it was very restful and nice. Lots of trees and flowers (some of which I hadn’t seen for some years).
I played around with the point-and-shoot Nixon, trying to override the automatic settings. Quite good, I thought. And who would have thought how beautiful a simple clover flower could be?
